Well maybe if you know what insurance she uses, call them and just ask if they do such a thing. It is a random question and they should answer this without having to give out names and info.

Oh, I agree Avaya!! I usually only go to one pharmacy, too. i have no problem with that, although my husband thinks she should shop for the best price. There is no Dr. Bill with them. DH had to tell her no to prescription dandruff shampoo once. She took him to a specialist for dandruff. She admitted to never trying anything over the counter first.

I think the point is that if she uses her WORK pharmacy she pays for it over a few pay periods, and they should have the same rights.

Quickie question re: prescription co-pays.
---> I'm assuming here is that what the problem is...is that she is not telling you exactly what HER out-of-pocket was for the meds that she is 'billing' you for. All you are getting at this point is the cost of the drug, but you don't know if she paid a $5 or $20 'co-pay' or if she had to pay more.
---> What I would do, is send her a formal letter (certified w/return receipt AND regular mail along with a CC to her attorney and yours):
Dear Ex-Wife:
I am in receipt of your documentation for XXXXX's prescriptions for (detail). While I thank you for providing the information in a timely manner, unfortunately, while the documentation shows the overall cost of the prescriptions, there are no receipts to show what you actually paid. Until I know how much you paid, there is simply no way that I can reimburse you for my share. Once you forward copies of said receipts, I will be more than happy to reimburse you.
Sincerely,
Your ex but not stupid husband.

I remember your story... I bet you are a total PITA to deal with...
The child is disabled... the child needed it...I don't care if she came to you a month after or a year after... I am sure she didn't put a ramp on her van for poops and giggles....
But she gave you proof. She has the medicine. She gave you a "tag" as you call it, with the Sons name on it, and copay price. How do you suppose she got it? Seems to me that is more reliable than a paper receipt from a cash register that no doubt would have less personal info on it. Do you think she is lying about buying his medication? Im confused what proof you are looking for? Video of her purchasing medication, perhaps?
I agree.
Like ssmom said they do something similar at Walgreens - on the bag you receive two perforated "tags" or receipts that list the name, date, insurance and copayment. This is absolutely proof of payment. A receipt isn't necessary on top of that - maybe other items were on the receipt that she didn't want shared.
I've also never heard of am EOB for medications.

I also agree it doesn't matter how she paid. It was paid for. The milk man could've paid for it for all I care - he still owes his portion.
When someone has sent you bills they have never paid for in the past, you get leary. just sayin, lol! That's why DH was wondering. The new CO was specific that everything had to have an EOB attached for payment. We were at a loss wondering what that was for meds. That's all.
That's understandable if it were say a doctor bill - prescriptions however must be paid for then and there. And it doesn't matter how it was paid for:).
