Is it Legal?

Can anyone tell me if it is possible to stop a divorce proceedings if your the one who started it and spouse agrees, like if you want to try to work it out???

Yes. Most states have provisions that allow the parties to either:
(1) Dismiss the case in it's entiriety; or
(2) place the case on hold for a defined period of time in order to attempt to work things out.
