Update-My ex
      #780189 - 03/16/12 07:06 PM

He's going to go in a claim that the CS has been taken out of his check since he started working there in May 2011. He says it's not his problem that it didn't make it to CS. He says he has proof from his checks (which are just computer print outs). He says that his boss (owner of the company) tried to avoid the garnishment, but in June or July, they were on the phone with his boss and forcing him to do it. He said some of it ended up in his boss's CS account (oh, his boss has been jailed for nonpayment of CS..so he says anyway). In the next breath, my ex also informed me that he is filing taxes as a contractor so I won't see anything this year from his taxes (that's a 1099 right?).

Funny. When I called in September to give them his work info, they had no idea he was working or where. That's when they sent out the garnishment. About a month later, I called them back to see if they were able to attach his wages and found out no...because he is working under the table. So, how can a company garnish when they are not even taking out taxes? Huh huh. That's his plan though....and I guess he's dumb enough to think it will work. Can't believe he told me it.

Btw, his wife is the office manager of the company.

At this point, I hope they throw him under the jail. He's known since Feb. 15 that I retained an atty and am filing contempt. I figured I'd see some kind of payment soon after, but nope...he's gonna stick to his plan. Good for him.

I just can't understand people who won't support their children! I would have had no respect for my husband had he been this way. Well, he would have never made it to boyfriend status, let alone husband. Shameful.

Yep, I agree with you. It's NCPs like my ex that give NCPs like my husband a bad name. Seriously, I have no use for them, and I have no respect for his wife either.

I just can't believe that people come up with these lies. If they spent as much time finding job or working as they do spinning lies they would have no issues paying support and on time.

Agree Cassie! If they put as much energy into working and supporting their kids as they do trying to avoid their obligations a lot more kids would be financially supported by BOTH parents. It's gotta be exhausting!!

I agree with you both. I think what really makes this bad...and I've said it before...is that he HAS a job..a GOOD one, making more money than he's ever made....and he still won't pay a dime in CS.

My son is in the Young Marine program and is being issue his Cammies next Saturday. Since it is ex's weekend and since I already paid to register him ($75 registration, $75 cammie), I sent him a message on FB asking if he could cover it. He said "yeah I can do that". So...at least that's a little load of me...I was wondering how in the world I was going to pay for it since we had an unexpected expense crop up the other day. I figure it's the least he could do.
