person to be a hospice nurse.
Hospice came to the house on Monday for the meeting and the nurse was wonderful an absolute gem and then on Wednesday another hospice nurse came and she was equally wonderful and so kind and caring. I cannot imagine just how they do it when they meet so many families at their darkest hours and come in and are just really caring and they seem to get to know each family member and are so very kind and generous of heart.
If any of you are Hospice nurses - Thank you so much for all you do.
My FIL passed away on Thursday with all of his children with him. It was a peaceful end to a life lead by example, love, respect, and courage.
Thank you to those who offered/answered with prayers they are greatly appreciated. I could not ask on FB as my MIL did not want it made public until he had passed. He was a very public figure but an incredibly private man and she wanted his last days/hours to pass quietly with family.

I am sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this time.
My father's Hospice nurse was surely an angel in disguise.

I'm so sorry for your loss, Annie. I'm very glad he lived a long and full life and everyone was able to say goodbye to him. It's never easy, and you and your family will be in my prayers.

You're welcome.
Hospice nurses do what we do because we want to help.....and because we are constatntly inspired by patients and families who, at their darkest hours when they are dealing with grief and the work of caring about and for the passing patient, think to thank us when it is the patient/family themselves who are doing all of the tough work.
I'm sorry for your loss, annieo. I'm glad that your fil was able to have those he most cared for with him.
