My divorce was final on 29 Feb 2012. I haven't posted on here for quite a while, mostly because where i have been wintering i had no easy internet access.
When I first discovered this site and posted a few times like a lot of people who first come here I was confused, hurt, angry, depressed...a whole range of emotions. One thing that people kept telling me was that it would get better with time.
Well, I'm glad to say they were right. Like i told my ex the other day, I am at peace with the divorce. I didn't want it but at the end of the day, i am at peace with it now and probably feel less stress than i have in years. I still have some moments, an occasional bad day, but overall i am trying to move on.

Forgiveness is not something we do for other people, it is something we do for ourselves to get well and move on. One day at a time. Take the time to reflect on your relationship and learn about yourself. This person was in your life for a reason. And figure out what it is you want and don't want in the next relationship. good luck.

Good for you! . Each day you heal a little more and it just gets better. The opposite of love is not hate, it's indifference and if you're feeling peaceful then you're well on your way to divorce recovery. :o)

You're lucky. I still have many bad days, even after four years. I don't think its in my cards to find love.
