Hello all,
I'm trying to get a general opinion on what my daughter's rights may be (if any) based on the current situation.
She was married last August (2010) to an Army man. He was deployed to Germany a few weeks later and came home last Monday. He told her the week he was coming home that he wanted a divorce stating that he wasn't ready for marriage, etc..
So, they have been married for roughly 8 months. He has been in Germany the majority of that time while my daughter has been here in the US taking care of all the bills, etc..
Unfortunately we can't prove it, but we believe he has been unfaithful. Basing this Facebook messages and pictures on his and another girls FB page. I'm quite certain you can't base infidelity on that, so I don't believe we can go that route if he denies any mis-doings.
My question is, with it being such a short marriage, will she have any rights to benefits, moneys, support?
Thanks

No real rights. What does she expect out of an 8 month marriage? She can keep her ID card until the divorce is final.
Is she living on base?
