I wont bore you with all the details, but I had a heart attack last month, and am waiting for workers comp to kick in to repay me last months salary. Meanwhile, I just informed my ex that my spousal support check will be there this month, but late. I have never been late, and eve paid her voluntarily when didn't have to, so I am not some slob who refuses to pay. The question I have is will I get in trouble? The decree says nothing about the day of month the money is due by. She just emailed me saying she took out a loan on her car(that I paid off $12000) and if she doesn't pay in eight days, she will lose the car. My ex is bipolar, and has a gambling problem, not that it matters, but this is why she is short. Do I have anything to worry about here? Thanks in advance for any help.

I don't think you are at risk. Her only recourse is to file a motion, and by the time that gets processed, she will have the money anyway. Besides that, the judge would consider your circumstances.
I have never been a day late on alimony or CS, but from the stories women tell, it can go several months (sometimes years) before any type of enforcement starts.

---> No. So as it is paid before the end of the month in which it is due, you will be fine.
She just emailed me saying she took out a loan on her car(that I paid off $12000) and if she doesn't pay in eight days, she will lose the car.
---> That is HER problem...NOT yours.
