Please help me Urgent
      #783727 - 04/25/12 07:40 AM

Hi my wife left me for no good reason. I have always been a good husband to her.

We dont have any property, bankaccount, car under our name or childrens.

She is texting me for the divorce. what should i do?

I live in fairfax county, in VA

What are the steps/papers required in order to get a divorce?

If she send me the seperation document and I dont sign will I get in trouble?

If I leave the country now how will she get the divorce and will I get in trouble if i come back?

If she can get the divorce and I am not in the country will my status get change back to single again automatically too or I have to do file for something after I come back to US?

Please help me. Thank you

First of all don't sign anything without an attorney.

Secondly, I think you can be served notice by publication if you are out of the country, and if a judge stamps the divorce, you will be divorced with or without your consent.

If you have children, that would be a reason to stick around and not skip the country. Children raised by single women typically grow up to be criminals, unless they have a father figure.

"Children raised by single women typically grow up to be criminals, unless they have a father figure."

You can't really believe this.

While the term "typically" may not be exactly correct, it is PROVEN that children raised by households headed by a MALE perform FAR better than those raised in a single parent household headed by a FEMALE. The instances of drug abuse, pregnancy, and high school drop outs are GREATLY increased in female headed households.

Why give a "senior" discount, they have had plenty of time to raise the money...

I don't doubt what you say. It was the word "typically" that I have a problem with.

Well, the percentages of fatherless individuals that grow up to be criminals is above 50%, so "typical" or "most" would fit.
