Please help me Urgent

Hi my wife left me for no good reason. I have always been a good husband to her.

We dont have any property, bankaccount, car under our name or childrens.

She is texting me for the divorce. what should i do?

I live in fairfax county, in VA

What are the steps/papers required in order to get a divorce?

If she send me the seperation document and I dont sign will I get in trouble?

If I leave the country now how will she get the divorce and will I get in trouble if i come back?

If she can get the divorce and I am not in the country will my status get change back to single again automatically too or I have to do file for something after I come back to US?

Please help me. Thank you

---> Some file's a Petition with the courts, it is served on the other party, the other party files a Response, there is a court hearing. That's a simple explanation.

---> No.

---> And you're wondering why you are getting a divorce? And what about your kids? If you think that by leaving the country, she will be unable to obtain a divorce, you would be wrong. If you leave with a forwarding address, she can have you served by mail, then you would have to hire a local attorney to represent you...unless you don't care about your kids. If you leave without a forwarding address, she can have you served by publication...it's take a little longer, but then she will have excellent 'abandonment' claims.
