Being served in Tennessee

Wife filed for divorce 4 months ago and I have never been served. Is there a time limit on when a person should be served in Tennesse or can it just be held by the clerk of courts until wife decides to have me served?? By the way we are still living together, sleeping together, etc, etc. I just want to know if this thing can be hanging over my head forever.
