Glad you got there safely Lizard babe.....;o)
From me to you -- just be grateful that you still have enough of an adventurous spirit to be able to simply pick up and go somewhere else. I haven't regretted my own move for a single second -- and I don't think you will either.
Stay in touch!

I want that fancy silk long underwear...just in case ya know. ;)
Not to sure about courage or strength per se because I couldn't have done this without the support of my friends, family and God, but then again, it isn't exactly the path of least resistance...I still had to step through the door.

I don't know about 'adventurous spirit'...I think it's more about being pragmatic...of making the best of what you have. When life hands you lemons, you find someone who life handed vodka. :)
Even though things haven't quite turned out like we planned...like living in a little RV with the majority of my stuff still in boxes and having to breakdowns/set up my work area every day so I can sleep...I don't regret my decision. Of course...that could change next week if the resort deal doesn't go through, but I'll adjust.

Adjustment is the key.....plans sometimes need some tweaking and this one at least isn't something that could have been foreseen.
And of course it's an adventure! How many people do you know that stay in the status quo due to the fear of the unknown? I know a few......;o) There's something about a person that simply says **hey, this is what I want to do and no matter what, I'm going to make it work** that says something to the world, Gecko.
The ability to **adapt and overcome** isn't something that everyone possesses -- I think it's awesome that you're starting a new phase of your life in a different place with a **clean slate** so to speak -- enjoy it!!!!

Adjustment is the key.....
---> One of my 'adjustments' is that I will be staying in the travel RV until the electric company catches up and G&S can purchase their mobile home. On one hand it's okay because the RV actually has more counter space than the smaller travel trailer (and G&S's larger travel trailer), but the downside is that it doesn't have a lot of storage space.
---> Some of that will be mitigated when we purchase an office 'trailer' (we already have a space with electric/water/sewer set aside for it); problem is trying to find one that meets the needs of THREE businesses and has a bathroom/kitchen area without infringing on the other offices and they aren't cheap.
---> But until that time, I can work around it now that I know I'm going to be staying put and I can rearrange some things and we do have an insulated pump house that I can store stuff that I don't really need right away or can 'downsize' until I move into the larger trailer that has an actual 'pantry' in it...and a bedroom with a double bed and a second bedroom with three bunkbeds that can used for storage. I'll 'adjust'. ;)
---> I did just spend four days 2 hours east of here helping a new client set up their new business...a 'resort' with a store, 50+ camping/RV sights, boat docks and gas pump/dock. Traveled back and forth the first couple of days and then spent the night. It was supposed to be a 'turnkey' operation, but it turned out to be a mess...hence the four days and one night. The weather was beautiful the entire time, discovered I'm allergic to some yellow flowering 'weed' on the FAR side of the campground and then slept 10 hours when I got home AFTER my cat read me the riot act for being gone for two days. Woke up with a bad cold this morning.
