Distribution of Property in PA
      #787576 - 06/29/12 03:49 PM

Prior to getting married my husband owned the house we currently live in. He then revised the deed and added my name. Several years later, my mother gifted me her home which is in my name only for $1.00. Is my husband entitled to any portion of that home?

Both homes sound like marital property to me, but that is my guess, not a 'known' fact. I'll be interested to see what others' opinions are.

It could be significant that you purchased the home from her, even if it was at a HUGELY discounted rate. Have you both stayed at the house previously owned by your mother ? Have you used ANY marital funds on the upkeep of the house, taxes, etc ?
