Hi everyone, Unfortunately I’ve a feeling that I soon to become real member of this sad community. We are married 11 years now and have 8 years child. I know my wide is preparing quietly to file a divorce, I have evidences and seems to be it inevitably. I gave her my best and worked hard to bring us to the stability in our life, but she wants more, now that she feels there is enough money and we crossed 10 years barrier. The problem I’ve made a huge mistake by trusting her and added her to almost all joint accounts we’ve had. 1) Once of the joint accounts overseas is left with money that was mixed with my mother deposits, my wife told her friend she doesn’t care and she wants 50% of my mother money as well, since it’s in our marital joint account, can she really do it? Should I tell my mother to withdraw immediately her money, but wouldn’t it be defined as hiding assets or something like that? My mother has statements showing transfers from her account to our joint account, what to do? 2) Also since I am yet served with any papers, can I do anything to save some assets from her? I have a business account with my partner only for investment property, will she get also this money? 3) The title of our investment property is on my name and she signed off interposal transfer, does it make this property as a separated property and 100% mine?
P.S. I wouldn’t ever think I will need to think about this tricks, but I guess life is full of surprises…
Appreciate any help.
