I'm in a contentious divorce that might go to trial. There are allegations against me of domestic violence and alcohol abuse. She makes $65k; I make $53k. I'm paying $518/mo child support. I filed for divorce after she obtained a year-long protection order against me based on false allegations. I have reason to believe her attorney has told her that I will be ordered to pay her legal fees. Is that likely?

Anything's possible.
It should help your 'case' that she makes more money than you do.
Do you have a lawyer too ? Who involved a lawyer first ?
You NEED one as you are dealing with the false allegations of dv, so you should be asking to have her pay your legal fees.
If that ends up as a 'he said, she said' situation, with both having legal fees, I'd think the judge would say you both pay your own.
