I was served a restraining order by my ex-wife for domestic violence (charges were dropped because she lied about it...long story) but when I went to the police to ask for an escort to gather my belongings they informed me that I needed a judegs signature with a list of items I wanted back before they would come with me. I went to the court and the judge had no idea what they were talking about. Long story short by the time I got the judge to sign the form all my stuff was gone and she had taken off. Since there is a restarining order I dont know where she is or lives. I went back the courts five times now looking to get my stuff back but still have come up empty handed. I dont know what to do and it seems like nothing is happening to her for all of this (she hasnt shown up for any of the court cases) I was finally granted a divorce in January of this year (which she didnt shwo up for either) and now she has 30 days to return my items but now I am afraid with only a couple of days left till this expires and no contact yet I have loss yet again. I want to know what rights I have and how I can "force" the courts to do something to get my items back or have her pay for what she took.......ANY help would be greatly appreciated!!
