Does anyone have any advice on how to treat a "Home Inspection" of the marital home in Delaware?
My ex and I have been divorced for a year. I am disabled and I have custody with permanent placement of our son. I saved the home from foreclosure and have been maintaining bills and property myself. There is an active PFA. His lawyer requested an inspection due to pre-trial settlement coming up and him not being here for over a year. I am in this by myself and have done well so far. Any advice is appreciated.

Have you not split the value of the home yet?

No we have not. I know I have no borrowing power, that is why I decided to vest my interest to get our mortgage out of foreclosure. (equal playing field). I am not sure what his borrowing power is. I am prepared to move. Its just not possible while I am maintaining this mortgage. If we have to sell, Im all for it. I just want to make sure its worth my while. On another note. He was by for the inspection and I have to say it was not pretty. He was suppose to take inventory of marital property with the privelage of being allowed to take pictures. No problem here. Im not trying to hide anything. But he took it a step further and started to toss my dresser drawers. Not sure what he was looking for but isnt that some sort of invasion of privacy?
