My son has been married for a little over two years. We live in NC. His wife has pretty much decided she doesn't want to be married any longer and wants a separation. My question is this: My son bought his house before they were married. The house is in his name only, as having her added was not an issue for her. When they divorce, is she still entitled to proceeds from the sale of the house? He is in the process of obtaining a lawyer, but I found this forum, and it looks like a great place for good advice. When he married her and had her move in, the house became her's too. It doesn't matter that her name is not on the deed.
