Am I single/married/divorced?

Hi all,

I married a girl from Brasil about 20 years ago. Got married in Houston. That marriage went through the consulates to Brasil, and she divorced me in Brasil just a few months later 20 years ago. But I never got the divorce here in Texas. I've always filed as single when doing taxes, and she never got citizenship here in the states, nor did she ever live with me.

So I'm wondering what my status is now "officially". Any help much appreciated.
