im 24, been married to my husband since 2010. Long story short i took his bullet in a legal issue starting in February 2010 (little after the marriage), which finally ended in march on 9 yr probation sentence on a first offender plea. He wont admit fault, but theres proof he did it, the police wouldnt even touch him because he was currently deployed and a soldier.
While that is the main issue, i recently discovered hes also been cheating. Again, i was lied to despite the proof pointed to he did. Now its to the point i want to finish my obligations here probation wise, put in a transfer and go home to file. I have no intentions of wanting to fix this and want to move on with my life. Problem is i dont have a job and not much money, may need alimony and health insurance. Unless once i move i get a job on the spot with decent insurance.
Would it be easier to just hire a attorney or do it myself? Hes willing to let it be a civil divorce but refuses to help out in any way once im back home, still married or not. He owes my father money and more then likely will not pay him back once i file

Insurance will end as soon as the divorce is final. Alimony is for long term marriages. You won't qualify with only 3 years.
You father will have to sue him to get whatever he owes. Is there proof he borrowed money and a signed contract to repay? It might be tough without it.
