I was served on November 5...but I just learned that the complaint for divorce was filed on SEPTEMBER 28. Doesn't that seem like a long time between filing the complaint and serving it?

Yeah, that does seem like a long time......Were you hard to find? How were you served? These factors may have extended the service.

No, I wasn't hard to find. I was served by a gent from the sherriff's office.

It could be that the sherrif's department was backed up. If it was a paid process server you could contact their office and find out when they were paid for the service. Regular sherrif's deputies don't usually serve them unless they're bored. Maybe your STBX was just lazy or busy.....
