My 17 yr old wants to move in with me

My 17 year old son wants to move in with me and his dad refuese. I'm not sure what the Kansas law is on this. We have shared custody, but his dad is fighting it tooth and nail. Help!

Usually the older a kid is to 18, the more weight it will have with the judge. The child can talk to the judge and let his wishes known.
