abandond property. all the crap he was awarded

my parents got divorced a few months ago and all the crap my father was awarded is still here. well we need to sell this place and theres so much junk out in the lawn and in the shop we can't even think about it.
can we sell it and send him the money?
storage isnt an option because there's just too much.
what do we do?

Call your mom's divorce lawyer and ask what your options are. I may be wrong, but I don't think you can sell / toss his stuff.

Send your father a letter (certified with return receipt) advising him that he has two weeks in which to pick up the stuff he was awarded in the divorce decree dated XXXX and if he doesn't, the property will be disposed of.

If he doesn't respond, then you are free to either sell, give away or junk the property at will and keep the proceeds or "donation" for tax purposes.
