CSE Paperwork
      #179447 - 12/21/06 05:15 PM

Hello,

My ex is a deadbeat all the way and owes me 29,000.00 in child support. I havend received anything again since sep 06 till today. He moved to Arizona with his new family. I also received a modification packet in the mail for which i have 10 days to fill out and notarize. Well here is the problem, I know that he had 2 business when he was living here and never showed proof. I know he is doing it again and just taking a low end job to cover up his business. His child support was increased this year even due to his un employment statues. I have a busy job with odd hours and now with the blizzard I will not get time off to get my paperwork done. And I think its unfair for the CSE just to use regular paperwork income/medical to calculate child support. Now if you go true it in the court everything is calculated as far as rent, food, etc. Also, the paperwork says I'm required to fill it out but then it says that if i do not fill it out that they will get the info from somewhere else. Am I in trouble if i dont fill out the paperwork (also my medical cost will go up in 2 weeks, etc.)?
He never shows any info for his taxes (i dont think he files), etc.

You won't get in trouble, but you'll not likely get much help from them now or in the future. And your CS may be reduced. It's better to complete it. You fill in what you can. If you KNOW the medical is going up, within the time they're likely to receive the paperwork, go ahead and put what it's going to be at that time. You may even note this somewhere in the paperwork or with a cover letter...write in the margin if need be. If there are things you don't know, leave them blank. If there are things you know to be true about him but feels he'll lie, put that in your cover letter or margins.

I've received these in the past and they asked me all kinds of info that I had no clue about...like his employment, etc. You can put the last place you know he worked and the last income you know he made.
