Boyfriend wife cheated with has moved in

I'm worried about my boss, his wife cheated on him with a 6'2 guy and now has had him move into his house along with her grown son. My boss is 5'7" and I think he's afraid to sleep there. She's already starting to trash the house and pick through things. What should he (or what can he do?) He has no one in town that can stay with him. If he moves into an apartment (which really isn't fair) does that damage his claim on the house and furnishings?
