Sorry, i have to do a little bragging here..so bear with me. My son and OSS are on a pee wee baseball team, which my H coaches. We started out really really bad....had only won 3 games out of 11. Tournaments started on Monday nite, and my SS won the first two games for us. We were losing and he hit the ball, and was able to bat two runners in. Last nite was the semi-finals..and my son..was the big hitter of the nite. He struck out the first two times at bat. We had two outs and it was the bottom of the 5th..we play 5...1 boy on 3rd and one boy on 2nd....He had two strikes and one ball..and he hit the ball way out in center field. The two runners came home. We were down by one. We WON..we had last bat. WOO HOOO. We go to championship game on Sat. The team we played last nite, was another home town team, the boys all go to school together and are friends. SO it was nice to win. Even if we dont win the championship, we the parents are so proud of our boys. They really came around. Ok,..i wont brag no more.... Have a good one.

Awww that is so cool! I love watching my boys play sports. It is so much fun for us and them. It really builds character as well.

I will do a little bit of bragging myself.
As some of you know, my husband received custody of his son last year (it will be 1 year on Sat). Custody was changed because of the BM educational neglect. The last school year he was with his BM he missed 30 days of school with majority of those not medically documented (and that was a vast improvement) and he passed the grade simply because he already failed a primary grade. All of this with the court watching his progress and attendance.
My SS received his report card after living here for the entire school year, he has all "B's" and either satifactory + or ourstanding. He missed 10 1/2 days of school with 8 of those with a medical excuse.
My SS is 12 yo and is going into the 7th grade at the middle school next year. He also passed a math class that will put him in advanced Math where he will receive a HS credit in the 8th grade.
He goes to his BM tomorrow for the weekend. My husband's work just called and changed his schedule so he has tonight off and most of the day tomorrow (he has to work 4 hours at his discretion tomorrow). So we are heading out for a special dinner and ice cream to celebrate his 1 year anniv of living here. He is doing WONDERFUL!!!

I know how happy you feel. When my son and SS's team won first place in their U12 :D soccer league, I was estactic. I think that made my YEAR! They were an oompla loompa team in the spring who only won one game and that is because the other team did not show up!! Then in the fall we whooped butt! Gosh it was sweet. I think I smiled in my sleep that night. I was so proud of them!!

My girls don't play sports yet so I can only imagine what you are feeling but I'm sure you are on top of the world with the boys on your shoulders.
