Ok I am sooooooooo pissed, although I don't know why it surprises me. I emailed my ex to give him my condolenses (sp) in regards to his cousin passing away..I know he was really close to her. Being the nice person I am (HA!)I told him I hope he and his family (wife and other son) are doing well. Here is his reply..verbatim:
yea we are steel togather blake is 4 foot tall now we are all doing good how is christan doing i dont meen to be pushey but is rick stell wounting to adoped him if so let me know so we can work somethang out jamie
___
I mean WTF? And alllllllll the misspellings are his...flippin illiterate bastard. I didn't mention ANYTHING about CS or the fact that he is over 7K in arrears now..and how I haven't received ONE penny from him in over a year now...or anything about my DH adopting our son!! And he has NEVER emailed me, called me...NOTHING to enquire about our son ..not even when I let his WIFE know he broke his collar bone last year. I was even a good M5 and sent him a recent pic of our son!!! OMG it just kills me how he can be that way! How he has NO sense of responsibility or respect for ANYTHING or ANYONE let alone our son.
Now I gotta figure out a reply to him...sorry to burst his bubble but DH will not be adopting my son anytime soon. For one, it's not financially possible at this time.

reply back and tell him it just isn't possible for Mr. M5 to adopt his son now or anytime in the future. Inform him that it is a new year and your second wind has giving you the energy to collect the past and current CS. Tell him it will not go away, it will only get much worse. If he needs proof I can put him touch with my ex!

LOL! I should too! I swear...ppl like him and your ex just make me crazy. I just don't "get" it..how they can be that way with their own flesh and blood. My son is 9 years old now...and he has only seen his "father" a hand full of times since he was born.
I spoke with CSE a month or 2 ago...and they were STILL in the process of filing contempt...they started the process in early July..basically the papers are prepared, but not filed yet. I'm sick and tired of having to call them up all the time and STILL receiving no action on the case! UUUUUUGHHHHHH!
And omg...I googled his email name...just to see if anything would pop up...and he is a member of a swingers site! I found that last night. And his myspace page first said he was single...then he changed it to married a few months later...and now it's back to being single again. Says he is making between 40-60K per year with his own business (a floor installation thing that I can find NOTHING about).

call CSE back and demand to talk to the Omsbud (SP) person. It should only take 30 days to file. I called every single day after my ex was located. It took about 45 days to get him served

Well I googled his whole email address first and nothing came up, then I just tried the first part of it and BAM! SWINGERS R US. <shudders in distaste>
We are in TN and I have NEVER once heard of anyone getting their license revoked or going to jail for nonpayment here. Ok I take that back...I know of one person that went to jail but not the particulars. My ex has been in and out of court on contempt many times (most of the time he didn't show up but rather called in sick like you would a job). He, at one time, had a bench warrant out for him...judge said he could be sick in jail. HAHAHA! Yea right..it was 2 years later that he finally showed up and he was NEVER taken to jail. The one time he was pulled over...they let him go because he told them the warrant was on a juvenile court case...wtf? Anyway...he is one of those that keeps a job only long enough for maybe one or two garnishments to go thru then he quits. He hasn't had any "real" job for over a year now..but working under the table.
Katie..what is Omsbud?? Never heard of it!

I respond with:
Dearest Dipsh1t:
Unfortunately at this time Rick is unable to adopt Christian at this time since you are over $7,000 in arrears on your child support payments for Christian. Now if you can cough up the money in a hurry our financial situation would change and the option of adoption could be addressed.
The most loving mother to OUR son, M5

LOL! I like that one especially! That 7K sure would come in handy. I have no hopes of recieving it any time in the near future. He owns no property, his vehicle is in his FIL's name and and who knows what else he has that is in his wife's name. I know they are still renting a place 2 counties over. His business is not listed anywhere and I've looked. He is supposed to be the owner with his brother.

How did you and your son handle seeing him at the funeral a couple of months ago?

If your husband adopts your son, can your husband get a reduction in the child support? In CA, we were told we could request a reduction (probably not worth the battle financially) when we had a child.
