back taxes

My husband and I have just divorced. We each own our own business and I have filed my taxes separately since 2003.
My ex has not filed taxes since 2003. I have had no access to his business practices and did not know he has not been filing taxes.

Does anyone know if I will be held responsible for his back taxes?

Also, he is filing for bankruptcy. We have no joint accounts. I got the house in the divorce.

I have a tax attorney and have talked with a bankruptcy attorney. They think I am clear. Any ideas out there from the forum?

No one can say if you WILL or will not be held responsible for his back taxes, but the fact that you have filed on your own for the last 4 years will look good for you.
