My daughter is 2. Her father and I were not married, ever. He and I were together off and on for two years, before he left me for good the day after we had her baptized. He just married the girl he left me for. She has 3 kids, and the possibility is good that at least one of those kids is his. He has threatened repeatedly to fight me for visitation rights. He said that he spoke with child support and that they said that there is no paperwork that says that either of us has custody... but I KNOW I read somewhere that in the state of Ohio, a single mother unmarried has default custody of the child... am I right? I have 3 reports on file with the police department and sheriff's department where this man has been violent, threatened me, even threatened to kill me. He is unstable... has not kept a job for much longer than 6 months since I've known him until this current job, which he is keeping because he doesn't want to go to jail for not paying his child support. He does pay his child support. And don't misread me... I do want him to see his daughter. I just want it on my terms. I don't trust him. He hasn't had a driver's license in 5 years, but drives to work every day in his new wife's car, with no insurance, and he thinks I'm just going to let him take my little girl with him??? Anyone that has any advice at all... please let me know! Thanks!
