How does one go about finding a good lawyer, particularly when you live many hours away...
It seems strange to go through Directory Assistance just calling - but we have no friends/family/personal ties in that state. And I have seen some weblinks that "advertise" lawyers...
Any advice?

Its mainly by word of mouth. I asked co-workers and they recommended a couple, one of which I chose. What part of the state?

I am looking for a lawyer in the South Bend area, I know I can go to Martindale, or the yellow pages, I have only lived in Indiana for about 1 year, so I am looking for word of mouth type of recommendations. I am a single guy looking for the lawyer that has a track record for child custody. Anyone out there
