Kids legal problems

My ex really doesnt take care of my kids. They are teenagers and she has a new baby with her new husband so they are basically left to care for themselves. I have joint parenting aggreament but am never giving the opportunity to make any desicions. However my 15 year old has been having troubles with the law and every time I am told your his father you have to pay half of all his legal bills. Is this true ? Can I fight this ?

I would ffight for custody and get the kid in line...maybe the legal problems will end with the proper influence.

I dont have any money for a lawyer and he is suppose to be in court on the 23rd. Its juvenile court so he HAS to be represented by an attorney. What do I do ?

If you dont have the money, you can petition for a public defender for the child.

In the mean time, petition the court for custody, pro se if you have to.
