spousal support

I was just awarded spousal support for the rest of my life. We have not signed the agreement yet. I am disabled and live in Mi.. I just found out that my ex is moving out of state. Can this affect my support payments? Should I have something in writing saying that no matter where he lives he still has to pay support to me?

He can move anywhere he wants and it doesnt matter, but have your lawyer insert it into the order if it makes you feel better. He has to pay, no matter where he lives.

Still has to pay, but enforcing it can be difficult if he is in another state

There is something wrong with the wording of this post.

If she was "awarded" lifetime alimony in a trial decision then the judgment only requires the signature of the judge not the opposing parties.

If lifetime alimony was by agreement but the agreement was not signed then she has nothing that is enforceable in or out of state.
