and then it kind of pissed me off..
Background: Hubby and I are going to Florida on Friday.. we get back on the 4th of July. The kids are going to be at church camp from the 29th to the 3rd in a town about 40 minutes away from where ex lives.
He agreed to take the kids to camp on Sunday and pick them back up on Wednesday... he has NEVER once taken them or picked them up in the 5 years they've been going.. NEVER. He usually doesn't even make it out for the ending program.
OS has a 4th of July parade in the town we live in on the 4th. Has to be there or he gets NO credit for all the summer work he is doing for marching band. He asked me what he was supposed to do while OS was in the parade.. ummm.... maybe WATCH HIM??? I dunno... could be a foreign concept to him to participate in OS pursuits...Our town is about 20 -25 minutes from ex's front door.
I emailed my ex the minute I found out when he had to be here for the parade.
He calls ME today... whining about how is going to have to "do an awful lot of driving that weekend". You know, take them to camp, pick them up, and then drive out here for the parade. I wanted to laugh my @ss off... welcome to MY world buddy! He is not going to have to come out here to get them this weekend.. my sister is going to keep them Friday night and take them to him on Saturday. He won't have to drive them home on the Sunday of the weekend we get back... I will probably be in town to pick them up.
This man never takes the kids anywhere anymore. They biotch about having to go there and just "do nothing" all weekend. And then he has the nerve to tell me he is going to do alot of driving. WHATEVER!

lol...some people! Unfortnately, I have my own expeiences with such a mindset. Laugh it off...you're in good company :-)

I hear ya. 22 days till my trip to the Keys! I can't freakin' wait either! I'll take the heat, humidity and bugs...I don't care...I just want to go!
