Hello - I'm in MI, as part of our property settlement, I entered in to a status quo arrangement until the marital home is sold where I would pay the mortgage. I got a paycut and status quo bills are so high, more than I make each month, I just can't make all the payments. I have exhausted my credit cards and have no cash, now ex is taking me to court for not paying the mortgage. I think I'm pretty much screwed...any advice?

Sure--if you enjoy free rides on short colorful buses and competing in olympics suited for your "special" limitations.

What fantasy world do you live in? No, the judge will not feel sorry for you. Why did you leave this tid-bit out of your "victory" post? You have to pay the status quo until the house is sold? LOL..in THIS market? You didn't win shyte.

Offer to let her buy you out. Worse case, give her the f-ing house before you default and it goes into forclosure.

My lawyer said "all I have to say to the judge is, I'm a grown man who shouldn't be living in his mom's apartment, the rents for apartments are over 1,500 a month and I have to take care of myself and my 19 yr old and I can't be paying the mortgage or the bills for the house so she can live there until closing. He will understand and force the sale on the house. If not, I plan to forclose on the house!
