Thrift Savings Plan Help is Needed!!

Military spouse of twenty yrs had contributed to TSP while we were married. I later found out his ending balance in the acct. during the divorce proceedings. Court order was in place so neither party could dissipate assets. The acct was brought to the attention of Referee during mediation. Ex stated the acct was closed and had a zero balance. I was asked during the meeting if I was aware of money being hid. I stated no but for the record, also stated, that I believed money was being hidden with the TSP. I later wrote TSP and asked a series of questions. They responded by letter and also sent me the TSP-U-70 Form my ex filled out to make a full withdrawal from the acct without my signature. When the form ask if he was married or separated from his spouse, he said no and signed the form fraudulently. My question is how do I go by trying to get the annuity that I was entitled to as a 20/20/20/spouse. Better yet, I was entitled to 50% of the balance. Now divorced, what are my options. Any help will be appreciated.

Your entitlement to Tricare etc. is in place - you are in DEERS and were for 20 years.

As far as getting a portion of his retirement - annuity - if it was awarded in the divorce decree I would start talking to DFAS to find out what they need from you; your decree may suffice.

As far as the TSP - you will need to get a civilian attorney where you divorced to see what you can do about your ex hiding assets now that you have proof he did so.
