Co-Habitation
      #554095 - 07/14/09 12:38 PM

Im really confused about this. Prior to the final divorce decree what are the laws for co-habitation in arkansas? ...also if anyone can give advice on the fact that my STB ex husband already has another girl pregnant and it happened a week after he moved out...

In Arkansa , public policy is that cohabitation between unmarried parties is not in the best interest of the child(ren) . If custody will be an issue DON'T cohabitate .

But did he move IN with her? They don't have to be co-habitating to be .... you know.... In the eyes of the law, living together is not the same as having a secret sexual relationship.

ok so i they are not living together...the fact that she admitted to their sexual relations (wrote a statmebnt for me cus she was mad at him admitting to it) and now ended up pregnant...how does that effect the case? we are agreeing on custody now but i want to cover my butt in case he decides to go off the deep end

So basically, he's having sex with someone. The implications of that, probably nothing whatsoever in court. For all the judge knows, you could be having sex too. They are not going to legislate that.
