Serving papers

I don't feel like being bashed by men, so I'm posting here. I'm filing for divorce tomorrow in a race to beat him from filing first. How soon will he be served? I'm telling my lawyer I want it file a.s.a.p. Thanks in advance!

Does it matter who files first? I am serious I do not know the answer to that question and what is the pros and cons to filing first? Can someone tell me that? Thank you
