Joint Accounts with children

I have just recently found out that my parents may soon be getting a divorce and I had some questions about joint accounts that I have with my mother.

I currently have a joint Savings account and a Safe Deposit Box with my mother. I am listed as the primary account holder on both. I also recently purchased a new car in which my mother co-signed on the loan.

If my parents get Divorced, will the contents of my Savings account, Safe Deposit Box, and my Car be put in along with the rest of my parents assets to be divided, or will they remain mine since I am the primary account holder?

Any advice would be appreciated, Thanks.

Sounds like someone is trying to hide assets..LOL...they will remain yours as long as you can provide proof it's yours and not your Mom's.

If the contents of the safe deposit box and savings account are yours, would your dad really try to take them ?
