My boyfriend was recently divorced from his wife. Before the divorce she kicked him out of his house (that he paid for) with only the clothes on his back and whatever was in his truck. She managed to get a restraining order against him because she was friends with the chief of police. That was 6 years ago.
During the final divorce proceedings a few months ago, my boyfriend had presented a list of the things that are his but his ex is still in possession of and refuses to return (a sword collection, some very expensive tools, toolboxes, a roll top desk he inherited from his mother, etc...) and he had a list of the gun he had in his collection when she kicked him out. The guns alone were appraised for over $25,000. All of the guns are still registered to my Boyfriend but his ex had sold almost all of them. She told the judge that she got $8000 total for the guns she sold.
The judge ruled that the guns would be hers now, despite that fact that he bought them and they are still registered to him. And that he is not entitled to any of the money from the sale of his guns.
The judge also ruled that she would pay him $15,000 for his half of the house but not for 5 years. And the judge said that he could go to her house and pick up the things on the list that had been verified as belonging to him.
He ex refused to let him come to get his things. She told him she would drop it off at his house. After much deliberation between the 2 lawyers and the judge it was decided that he would take a trailer to her house on a Saturday at noon and she would fill it and call him to pick it up that evening.
He took the trailer and waited for her call. She did not call to have it picked up till Sunday night at 9pm. When he got the trailer it was full of old carpet rolls and tires that did not belong to him. He told his lawyer who told the judge, who did nothing.
He took the trailer (empty) back on Monday at noon, as his lawyer instructed. She called him to pick it up at 11:30pm Monday night. This time it had a few things of his but they were buried under a load of garbage (broken radiators, air condition ducts, etc...) and several of his items were damaged.
He told his lawyer and then took the trailer back for another load Tuesday at noon. Since then he has not been able to get a hold of his ex, nor has she called so he can pick his stuff up. So far the judge has done nothing about this.
Is there anything we can do?

Just a thought. Was he your boyfriend before he was divorced? Not saying what she did was right, but just something to think about.
