my husband and i are having some serious problems. we are trying to work through this, but i just found out that he signed a WARRANTY DEED and sold our house (my name was NOT on the old deed) to a friend for ten dollars. is this legal? i think since in Arizona our home (we've lived here for 9 years...married for 13) is considered Community Property, that he did NOT have the legal right to deed it (free and clear of all claims) to his friend. help please.

Sounds like he's planning on divorce or is preparing for it in case. He can then have his friend sell it back to him after the divorce is final. I don't know much about community property states, but I have to say that was a low thing to do.

You could argue that he is still required to pay you back at least half of the equity in the home per an appraisal.
