mortgage problem

We got divorced in 2008 and I am looking for info on how to get my ex wifes name off of the mortgage ..she doesnt want anything to do with the house. We both went bankrupt within the last 2 years and her lawyer reaffirmed and mine didnt for some reason..I cant afford to refinace and cant buy her out and besides it is very difficult to refince a doublewide that is 11 years old. I want the house and she wants nothing to do with it..am looking to get her name off of it without the problems.There was nothing on the divorce papers about title or mortgage. I have been paying all along ..hopefully I can gain some helpful info about how to go about it...thank you so much

With nothing in your decree, your ex is under no obligation to quit claim the deed to you. And, the only way to get her name off the loan is to refinance.

You can probably look at it as paying rent.....the problems you are having had to be dealt with legally at the time of divorce, or done now at probably a large expense...it's probably not worth it.

If she doesn't want anything to do with the house she might be willing to quit claim the title to you, but as far as the loan. The only way to get her name off that is to refinance it in your name only.
