GR8dad or anyone that knows. EX is in errors of $28000. He has made about 12ish payments in the last 4 years. And was very sporadic before then. They finally put him on probation for this, about 5 months ago. He has made about 6ish payments since then. He gets a job, they take two payments and he gets conveniently laid off or fired. Then it starts again. I am so sick of it. Can’t they see what he is doing? Can I do anything? It is like he is mocking the AG and they don’t care. Can he just do this for the rest of his life? Make a small token payment every month or so? I am on the fence about putting people in jail for nonpayment of CS, but what else can be done?

I was told that as long as he makes ANY kind of payment every 30 days, they won't do anything. The 31st day that no payment is recieved, they will send a letter to the delinquent NCP, and that goes on for 90 days. Then, after the 90 days is up, they will send it to their legal dept to get looked at to see if they should take it to court. And the payment can be $1.
Yay, Texas AG!!!!!
ETA: That is after 90 full days of NO payment.

The AG works, but they are so swamped, they take care of the squeaky wheel. Keep a log of who you spoke to, who your case worker is, and follow thew time line. No payment, they send out a letter. 30 days later, they send out another, then another, after 90 days, they set a court date. KEEP calling them. Stay on them, they will do their thing.

I feel bad harassing the AG all the time, but you think it's for the best? I always feel like I get the same answer, but if me calling actually causes something to happen I'll keep it up, but does it really?
