Cell phone issue

I am divorced and share custody with our two children. My ex keeps harassing me with phone calls and texts. I told him that i was going to block his number if he did not stop. He hasn't stopped so I did block his number. I told him he can contact the children on my home land line. He is allowed one call a night around 730pm. He wants to take me back to court ,so that I have to unblock his number. Can a judge have a court order issued to do so? I live in NJ......Thank You

I'm not familiar with NJ law, but in general if there is a true pattern of harassment amounting to stalking you might think of getting a restraining order and convert that into a consent order signed by the family law judge -- you will need a lawyer to pull it off.

On the facts you give, it appears he is threatening a contempt action. I wouldn't be concerned. In fact, I would beat him to the punch with an RO.

It's your cell phone, it's your choice who you get to block. Given that you have a landline that he can call, he would be wasting the court's time. Be sure to ask that he pays your legal fees should he file this frivolous lawsuit.

BTW, did you keep all of those harassing texts? That would make your strong case even stronger.
