trying to locate proof of my divorce

I need to find out if my divorce was ever finalized in Piatt County Illinois.
It was filed by my ex-husband in 2003. I have no other way of tracking it down. I am now in need of proof of divorce to do my name change if it was ever really annulled. I left my ex-husband Michael S. Strack in Sept/03 and have not been on speaking terms since then. I did receive the divorce papers that he had filed in Oct/03,but I never did sign them,so I wonder if it went through.
