In California after ten years of marriage a woman is almost always awarded lifetime spousal support. I think this is blatantly unfair. I started a petition on change.org to change this practice. Please sign it a the following link:

I like your efforts but I don't ever plan to live in CA and I sure as heck will never again enter a legal contract with a women that entitles the state to openly rape me to maintain her in the manner to which she had grown accustomed.
An ounce of prevention is what's needed, you are seeking a pound of cure. I have 2 bothers in CA and I have told both to GTFO of there before 10 years.
