IF I AM REQUIRED THROUGH MY CUSTODY PAPERS.TO PROVIDE HEALTH INSURANCE FOR MY CHILD.CAN I GET WHAT THE BASIC COVERAGE COURT PAPERS SAY?OR DO I HAVE TOO PAY MY EX FOR THE COVERAGE SHE HAS?MY POLICY IS BETTER.AND SINCE MY EX WILL NOT GIVE ME THE INFORMATION I NEED,TOO COVER MY CHILD. WHAT DO I DO TOO GET THIS INFORMATION? /

what kind of info could you need that you would not know or have access to? if you are required and yours is cheaper then it would make sense to go that route. she cannot force you to chose something else. but first, what info?

I am confused. If you are court ordered to carry insurance then you need to carry it and pay for it. Your ex has nothing to do with it. They can get secondary coverage if they want but they are responsible to pay for it in full.. not you. As Lisa asked... what info? All you need to get medical insurance for your child is their SS#, name, DOB, etc. You don't need to know the doctors to get coverage. It is her responsiblity to use the DR's in your network.

In my case, my employer will not add my son until they receive information (like current shot records) from me, which I cannot get unless his mother tells me the doctors name (which she will not give me).
Also, if the court order is written that coverage is to be provided by the custodial with expenses to be reimbursed by the non-custodial (like mine is) then that is what happens. You do not necessarily have a choice in the matter unless the order is modified.
