First off we live in North Carolina. When my wife moved out in 2003 she took half the furniture. I then bought new furniture (bed room, dining room, eat in kitchen table etc.) Then in 2004 she moves back in and we try again. We then gave her furniture and things to a friend.
Well, obviously it didn't work or I wouldn't be here, but more than likely I will move out this time. If I do and I take all the furniture that I purchased on my own during the separation does she have any rights to it?
Will she be able to claim the stuff in an equitable distribution?
As far as the courts see it we are still separated and I'm still supposed to be paying child support - I never did anything about that, nor do the courts know we reconciled for almost a year.
Any and all help is GREATLY APPRECIATED!
