Run or Stay

This past weekend my girlfriend call me after I got home from a long 10 hour day at work and asked if i wanted to go out to play pool and have a few drinks. I agreed. When I got home about 12:30a.m. I husband asked where I was and I didnt answer him because I was tired of him questioning me everytime I have the house. So when I didnt anwser him, he jump and started strangling me (literally)he was arrested. I only been married 11 months. But why do I feel I still should be with him? This was his first time doing this, and I know that it could happen again. SOMEONE PLEASE GIVE ME ADVICE. :confused: :(
