OH MY GOD...I HATE this new format. I just wrote a friggin' novel and then somehow, it logged me out and I lost my entire thread!!!!! Stupid, stupid, stupid. I'm not going to write the damn thing over again.
Mommynurse, I was just saying that you and I have a lot in common (more than just being stepmoms and ICU nurses). Our BM's sound very similar. She hates and resents the fact we now have money. For the past 2 years, she's been gloating and lording it over us how money is no object for her, etc. Even though she has no job. She loved to make it know that the children could have anything they wanted over there because her BF makes so much money. Well, our household income will be going from $45,000 to just over $100,000. We are planning a trip to SeaWorld and the San Diego Zoo in a few weeks, in addition to a trip to Disneyworld and the cruise on the next spring vacation.
We get to hear about how it must be nice to use her CS to go on all these stupid vacations. Yeah, $300 goes a LONG way! We took a week long vacation to Disneyland a few summers ago and she actually told the kids that she wishes she could have taken them but because she has to give all her money to daddy, she can't afford it. Sigh. Nice woman. That was when my SS yelled at me for "taking all his mommy's money so she had none". He knows better now and she can't pull that kind of stuff with him anymore...she's moved on to her daughter now.
I got the DVD for the Disney Cruise a while back and we are looking at doing their land and sea combo. You spend 3 days on the cruise and then 4 days at DW. A nurse at work took her kids right before she went into nursing school because she said she knew it would a long time before they got to do anything as a family. She said they had a blast!!! That would be cool if we were on the same ship at the same time!!
