Hi,
This is complicated and I will try to condense but it will be hard. 8 Yrs ago my daughter got pregnant by her high school boy friend. When he found out he up and left town leaving her to deal with everything. After long hard talks my daughter decided to keep the baby. I was there with her all the way through. I was the one in the delivery room with her when the baby was taken C-Section. Then all of a sudden the boyfriend shows back up and wants to be the daddy. Against my better judgement I allowed him back in our lifes. I put my career on hold and stayed home with the baby so my daughter could finish school. But then due to infedelity on my husbands part I divorced and I moved away. I stayed in touch and I saw my grandaughter all the time I even asked my daughter to move in with me but she wouldnt. My daughter had a verbal agreement with the father on visitation so the weekend he was to have her I personally met him and dropped my grandaughter off and told him I would be back end of week to pick her up. Two days later he called my daughter and informed her that she could not have her back and he was file for custody. I culd not hire an attorney for her because I am disabled and live on a fixed income. So he ended up winning and got custody my daughter was devastaed needless to say. Then it got worse the boys new girlfriend was a she devil. She had him so whipped that anything she told him to do he did so He filed for child supprt and won, Then they ended up getting married and they tryed to keep me away but I am very persistant. So now my daughter can not hold down a job because they found out she is severely bypolar,So this she devil used this against her and told her that if she did not sign rights over to the dad she would have her put in jail well because of my daughters illness she crumbled and was forced to sign the papers. The she devil adopted my grandaughter not because she loves her but because the more pain she inflicts on my daughter the better.SHe is mentally abusive to my grandaughter calling her fat and telling her shes not as good as her step sisters. I am extremely close to my grandaughter and she has another sister but the she devil wont let her see her either. She crys everytime she cant come to my house or if she is here and she has to go home she crys she tells me all the time she wants to live with me
I dont know what to do I cry all the time because Im afraid I wont get to see her because the she devil has kept her from me numerous times when she desnt get what she wants. Now the father and her are headed for divorce court because he caught her cheating,but because she is vindictive she said she is keeping my grandaughter and fighting for custody not because she wants her but because it will hurt so many people. But if she gets her she will take all her anger out on her and I am afraid for her. I need to know if I have any recourse to get this little girl away from this due to the fact my daughter signed those darn papers. I am her biolgical maternal grandmother I live in NJ. I cannot afford an attorney because of my medical situation. So Im begging if there is anyone out there that can advise me I would be in great appreciation.
