You are not a bad person, you are just making bad decisions. The difference is you know what you are doing is wrong. Go back to counseling, you obviously had the wrong counselor. And as frustrating as it can be, you may have to try out a few before you find one that will work.

You have a lot of issues on your own that you need to deal with. You need to get some help in dealing with your own self destructive behavior. Sexual encounters with men met online doesn't sound like something a rational person would do. One you have the risk of an STD or worse and second the men you meet could be psychopaths. Plus you drink? Are you an alcoholic?

Passion in a marriage fades and you really have to put two feet in and make a conscious effort after years of marriage.

I don't think you need flamed. You are doing a good job of that all on your own. You know your downfalls, now quit b*tching about them and fix them.

All counselors aren't created equal. Everyone here will tell you that. But a good one is worth their weight in gold. If the idea of divorce fills you with despair than start looking for someone who can give you the tools to find solutions to fix your marriage and help you with the issues that you have either one developed because of the problems or have had all along and now become dangerous. Because that is exactly what sexual encounters with people you meet online is.
